We organize trekking in various parts of Nepal as well as arrange tours for cities and villages of Nepal, such as Pokhara, Kathmandu, Chitwan, Lumbini, Nagarkot, Nuwakot, Dhulikhel, Bhaktapur, and Lalitpur. Mr. Rupak Prasain (entrepreneur, teacher, nature enthusiast) is the founder and brainchild of 5K Treks as well as Language Hub (Visit Here), a language institute located in Thamel, Kathmandu. Established in 2017, it is now one of the leading language institutes of Nepal. The institute is also used for training local guides and porters to speak in English as well as various other languages, such as Spanish, Chinese, Italian, German, and French.
Mr. Prasain is an alumnus of Tribhuvan University (TU). After graduating from college, Mr. Prasain spent a significant amount of time traveling to remote regions of this enchanting country. Over time, he became familiar with these regions as well as the people living there. After getting first-hand experience of the joys and challenges of traveling to these places, he became aware of not just the natural beauty but also the historical and cultural significances of these regions. It was a transformative experience for him. He not only wanted to visit those parts of the country again and again but also wanted others to discover the beauty and magic of these places. Consequently, opening a trekking company was a no-brainer for him. After a lot of planning and research, he finally founded 5K Treks in 2024.
Having a background in business and finance, Mr. Prasain has a solid understanding of the intricacies of operating a business. He is very thorough, meticulous, and professional in his planning, organization, and execution of every aspect of the trek. He takes care of the minutest of details. He is also fully conscious of the subtleties and nuances of each trek and each client. Therefore, he makes sure to deal with them individually. He understands very well that customer satisfaction is of prime importance and so goes out of his way to make his clients happy. His enterprises have always offered the best value-for-money and customer satisfaction. It is what has given him success in every project he has undertaken so far. He has now applied the same principles and strategies in managing his trekking company as well.
Mr. Prasain is always eager to talk about Nepal with anybody who is interested in any aspect of this fascinating country. He is multilingual and can speak Nepali, Chinese, English, and Hindi fluently. He also has a working knowledge of Italian, Sanskrit, and Spanish as well as several local dialects of Nepal. Raj Kumar Karki is one of our most experienced staff, having served as a trekking guide for more than 15 years. He has traveled and trekked extensively in and around the Everest and Annapurna regions. He knows these places like the back of his hand. Currently, Raj Kumar also teaches at our institute, Language Hub. A true polygot, he can not only speak Italian, Spanish, and German, along with common languages of Nepal like Nepali, Hindi, and English, but can also teach most of these languages. As a person, Raj Kumar sees himself as a curious learner and a responsible person. He makes sure to execute all his tasks dutifully and sincerely. He likes to engage in conversations with new people and is known to have a quirky sense of humor, all of which makes him a great guide to have as you trek through the quiet and remote regions of Nepal.
